The original project scope was to research, edit and publish a comprehensive history of optometry, and do so in less than one year. Given this improbable goal, the solution lay in finding a workaround that still answered the why-questions of project success. The new direction canvassed past Association Presidents for their take on the 100th milestone, cut in notable organizational successes and commentary from other prominent stakeholders. Historical photos came from proprietary stock, and a shoebox full of photo prints. The 100th "hero banner" branding was also a cornerstone of the content.
